Years ago, a pastor told us a story in church one Sunday morning that I have not forgotten. He said there were two angels in heaven on assignment. One recorded all prayer requests,while the other recorded all thanksgiving to God. The angel recording thanksgiving had little or nothing to do and was idle most of the time, whereas the one who recorded prayer requests was so busy that he had no time to rest.

He was so worked up, that he was always asking for more papers to write requests and could hardly keep pace with the number of prayer requests bombarding God’s throne. This story may sound incredible and funny, but this is the situation with us many times. Very few people know how to appreciate God for all that He has done and is doing for us. No matter how your past/present life has been, answer this: Do you have good health and a good job?

Then thank God! David said in Psalm 92:1 that: “It is good to give thanks unto the Lord and sing praises unto Thy name, O most High.” If you can’t thank God for what you received, then thank Him for what you missed – premature death, bad news, sickness, losses, frustration, arrows that fly by day or by night etc.

Thank God you missed them and will continue to miss them in 2023 in Jesus name. Read today’s scripture again before bedtime! No matter what you go through, make friends with your trials and you will learn from them! Pray now! TODAY IS DAY 21 OF THE 21-DAY FASTING PROGRAMME!
