TOPIC: – WINSTON CHURCHILL: THE BEHIND-THE-SCENE SOLDIERS – 1
“Winston Churchill knew that people who work behind the scenes don’t always get the credit they deserve. During World War II, many of England’s coal miners wanted to enlist and fight on the frontlines. Churchill acknowledged their patriotism but reminded them of how valuable their work was to the cause of the war. COAL WAS NEEDED FOR POWER! “Some must stay in the pits,” he said, “and others must stay in the army. Both are equally needed, and for both there is equal credit.” Looking ahead to when children would ask their parents what they did in the war, Churchill said, “One will say, ‘I was a fighter pilot’; another will say, ‘I was in the submarine service’; . . . and you in your turn will say with equal pride and with equal right, ‘We cut the coal.” In life and even in offices or churches, most people always want to be seen.
THEY WANT TO BE IN THE LIMELIGHT! They like the frontlines, but dread the backlines. In any military combat and war, the behind-the-scene- soldiers are equally as important as those in the frontlines. In today’s scripture, Paul took time to salute, commend and appreciate all those whom God used to be a blessing to his life and ministry. These men and women were working behind-the-scenes in Paul’s ministry and nobody saw them or even knew them, but they were faithfully playing their roles. DON’T JOIN THOSE WHO ARE FIGHTING TO BE SEEN! Your SLOGAN MUST BE: “MORE OF HIM; LESS OF ME!” To be continued tomorrow…. PRAY NOW! 4. Lord, make me a ‘behind-the-scene’ builder and not a scatterer in Jesus name.
5. Pray in tongues now as you are led.
6. Pray about today, your office, church, family and institution, etc. Loose growth and multiplication now!
