TOPIC: – THE ART GALLERY: THEY WERE DRIVEN BY A COMMON BOND!
Welcome! An elderly man who visited an art gallery was deeply moved by a painting that portrayed Christ on the cross. It was so realistic in depicting the suffering of the Savior that his heart was filled with gratitude for the great price the Lord Jesus had paid for his redemption. With tears trickling down his cheeks, he exclaimed, “Bless Him! I love Him! I love Him!” Other visitors standing nearby wondered what the man was talking about. One person walked over and looked at the painting.
Soon, he too felt deep emotion welling up in his heart. Turning to the old man, he gave him a firm handshake and said, “So do I! I love Him too!” The scene was repeated as a third man and then a fourth walked over, gazed at the painting, and exclaimed, “I love Him too!” Although these men were from different churches, they felt a common bond because of their faith in Christ! The Holy Ghost wants you to know that irrespective of your denomination or church affiliation, there is only one thing that all Christians should have in common and that is our faith and love for the One who died on the cross! Yes! Your church and its doctrines and dogmas cannot guarantee you heaven.
At the end of the day, it is your love for Jesus and your obedience to His Word that makes you a candidate of heaven! Hear Corrie Ten Boom: “Be united with other Christians. A wall with loose bricks is not good. The bricks must be cemented together.” You are like a BRICK in the body of Christ, when you gossip, keep malice, judge others, overdress, covering of hair, etc; you are a LOOSE BRICK! Hear Dwight L. Moody: “I have never yet known the Spirit of God to work where the Lord’s people were divided.” Learn from the four men in today’s story, who did not care about where they worshiped, but were attracted to each other by their faith on the Cross of Jesus! Read Ephesians 4:13 again and pray now! ONLINE – “MORNING FIRE with Bishop Chris” – Today 6.30 am (Nigeria time) via Facebook & Youtube.
