Welcome to today’s devotional hour with the Holy Trinity! Share with me the wordings of this ancient song: “Lo how a Rose e’er blooming from tender stem hath sprung! Of Jesse’s lineage coming, as men of old have sung. It came a flowered bright, amid the cold of winter, when half spent was the night.” Written in the 15th century by an unknown German poet, the song speaks of a season when roses don’t bloom, of a night half gone, a time when people may yield to despair. Oh! THAT SONG IS A MESSAGE!

Sometimes life can be an emotional winter, a dark night when the lights are dimmed and cheery greetings are muted by loneliness or fear. Yes! There are times even the FIG TREE DOES NOT BLOSSOM and EXPECTATIONS SEEM DASHED (today’s scripture Vs. 17)! But in this year 2023, you must REJOICE because the LORD will turn your captivity and the FIRE of His jealousy will devour every DELAY AGENT or HATER! What was lost or DISPERSED shall be gathered again!
So, as we continue this devotional tomorrow, determine that you will not quit! Catch this: The greatest oak was once a little nut who held its ground. It means, NEVER QUIT! Your best days are still ahead – not in your past! Close with Brian Tracy: “Never consider the possibility of failure; as long as you persist, you will be successful.” Yes! Persist! Persist!
