TOPIC: THE BEAUTIFUL HOT-AIR BALLOONS: YOU ARE A WONDER!
Elmer Kline, a bakery manager in 1921, was given the job of naming the company’s new loaf of bread. As he struggled to come up with something “catchy,” he found his answer in an unlikely place. While visiting the grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, he stopped to watch the International Balloon Festival.
Later he described the sight of the beautiful hot-air balloons launching into the Indiana sky as one of “awe and wonderment.” The thought stuck to him and he called the new product “Wonder Bread.” The brand is currently owned by Flowers Foods in the United States. To this day, the packaging for Wonder Bread is brightened by colourful balloons. And what the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional is that in this year 2023, ANSWERS TO YOUR PRAYERS WILL COME FROM UNEXPECTED SOURCES! You will find direction and answers in the issue(s) of life and YOU WILL NEVER BE STRANDED IN CONFUSION AGAIN!
Just like the beautiful hot-air balloons were used to provoke an answer for Elmer Kline, the then bakery manager, God will send answers and you will be called a WONDER LAND! Wonder is described as “a cause of astonishment or admiration.” Your life, family and ministry will cause men and women to be ASTONISHED! Your life will SHOCK them in awe! The events of the coming of Jesus into the world was described by Luke as causing all to “marvel.” Vs. 18 says: “All they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them…”
