TOPIC: YOU WILL DECIDE YOUR YEAR – 2
Thank God for the Wright brothers and thank God for Albert Einstein. They decided what their history would look like. With determination, faith in God and holiness, they changed the vocabulary of science. They were just like you and I. You can surpass anyone in your field. As a pharmacist, I know that in 1928, a bacteriologist, Alexander Fleming, at 47, took anti-bacteria therapy to the Holy Grail and a new dimension when he identified “Penicillin.” He decided to make a difference and re-wrote his history.
Ever since then, every breakthrough in bacteriology draws largely from his discovery. In the morning of February 28 1853, Francis Crick and James Watson discovered and cracked the code of life. They figured out the helical (snaky or circular) structure of the Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), a breakthrough that lifted them into the science hall of fame. Much more than that, their discovery helped humanity to understand why people look like their parents. Space would fail me to mention the life of the Nigerian who designed the fastest computer in the world.
Ah! Indeed, you decide how history will perceive you! This is the 21st century when scientists are in hot chase to discover surgery beyond the common ‘heart or brain surgery,’ to a near perfect condition (organ transplant). With the discovery of stem cells, it is now possible to grow any part of the body in a laboratory and there is great concern that in the near future, a woman will not need a man to be pregnant because sperm cells can be produced in laboratories! I repeat: You decide how history will perceive you!
How many children are called “Judas,” “Hitler,” “Lucifer” or “Delilah” today? People are called “Christian,” “Andrew,” “Columbus,” “Christopher,” “Moses,” “Paul,” etc. Your life and year is in your hands. No matter how last year was, determine to re-write your life’s history this year by crucifying the demon called “discouragement.” Imagine God’s new card file for you this year; Isaiah 58: 14 which says: “I will cause thee, to ride upon the high places of the earth…” Reject the low life! Your God has prepared a seat in the high places for you! Please, make a difference. Don’t die wasted and unremembered! Your life shall be as a watered garden! Amen!

2. I disconnect my life, family and ministry from the register of failures in Jesus name. I shall not fail this year in Jesus name.
3. Holy Ghost, give me ideas in 2023 that will turn me into an unforgettable star in Jesus name (Pray it very well).
4. Pray the new morning, afternoon and evening devotional prayers today and daily this year. See pages 7-9 now.
