Welcome! When asked: “At what point did it dawn on you that you were going to graduate with a First Class and even as the overall best student?” Adunola replied, “First Class did not just happen, I had badly wanted it and knew I must graduate with a First Class before I resumed at the university! I had always prayed concerning it and promised my dad that I was going to graduate with a First Class and get the best out of my course of study. On resuming at UI, with my mind fixed on that goal, all my actions and activities were directed towards that goal, but I honestly did not know I would finally emerge as the overall best student.
I only worked earnestly towards becoming the best graduating student of my department and faculty but God helped me to get more than I bargained for. While I was in school, I did not believe in a free time because the zeal to succeed kept me on my toes at all times. I read to the extent that reading became my hobby and I ensured to do it every day irrespective of how tired I got or how busy my day was.” The Holy Ghost wants you to know that for your past not to reflect or become your present day reality, you must be intentional about it! Yes!
You must take concrete and decisive steps to upturn every ugly past. Discipline and total resolve is required to change the failure of the past. For me to write this devotional of over 25 years, I miss my sleep, food or even family sometimes! I have very few friends (about two only)! This is discipline! Paul was a murderer who became a lover of souls because he made conscious efforts to remain saved even when his past haunted him. MOVE FROM MEMORY LANE ATTACKS TODAY! As you journey through the University of Life this year, tell your past: “YOU ARE NOT ME AND I AM NOT YOU, BREAK FROM ME BY FIRE!” Yes, shun depression now and never ever quit because the world must celebrate you. PRAYER POINTS: Take any song of worship to God as led.
1. Thank God and pray about today’s word as led.
2. Oh, you arrows of my past memory LANE; loose me and go
now in Jesus name.
3. God, use my past as Your raw material to manufacture my
glorious future in Jesus name.
4. Lord, my past is not me; use my past to bring out the best in
me this year.
5. Father, turn the insults of the past to my results of today in
Jesus name.
6. Powers manipulating my past against me, dry up now in
Jesus name.
7. Pray about today now as led.
