Acts 11:26: “And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” Yes! The people looked at the disciples and saw that they talked like Jesus, they dressed like Jesus, they acted like Him. Always ask yourself, “WHAT WOULD JESUS DO (WWJD)?” Oh! Hear Mahatma Gandhi: “I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians.
Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” Did you get that? 1 John 2:6 is clear: “Whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which He walked.” John 13:35 also confirms: “By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Your being called a Christian is not by speaking in tongues or fasting for 100 days, or sleeping in the church daily, etc. THESE ARE THE BELLS OF YOUR PRIESTLY GARMENT (Rev 1: 6)!
Men would know that you are a Christian by your love, your character, your meekness, your patience and your kindness, your modest dressing, etc. Don’t forget this question: “If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?” Use today’s devotional to dedicate your life to the LORD again!
