TOPIC: THE BELL AND THE FRUITS!

Welcome to today’s devotional. Exodus 39:25-26 says: “And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates; a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; as the LORD commanded Moses.” The Lord is using today’s devotional to remind you about BEARING FRUITS (spiritual pomegranate) and not just having carrying BELLS! The high priest in those days was supposed to wear a garment whose hem (the linings) were to contain hangings of BELLS and FRUITS! Don’t also forget that every believer is now a PRIEST unto the LORD (Rev 1: 6).

So the LORD is saying that YOU MUST LIVE A BALANCED CHRISTIAN LIFE! Don’t allow the BELLS (noise) to be more than the FRUITS! Your CHARISMA (The BELLS, YOUR GIFTS, etc) MUST match your CHARACTER (the fruits). There are many believers that make noise about their faith, but their CHARACTER is zero! No wonder Billy Graham once said:WHEN CHARACTER IS LOST, ALL IS LOST!

A popular church posting reads, “If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?” This is certainly a thought-provoking and soul-searching question! Live in such a way that men and women would see you and want to be Christians. Drop that anger, malice and quarrelsome character, etc! Watch your tongue! Drop fornication, adultery, gossip, lying, bitterness, careless dressing, etc. Don’t allow the BELLS (CHARISMA and gifts) to be louder than the FRUITS – your character!

3. LORD, from this day, I dedicate my life and family to You again. Let Your beauty be seen in me again.
4. Holy Ghost, operate the following weaknesses in my life (mention them now). Decree that you will not miss heaven!
5. Pray about today and about any other issue(s) now.
