TOPIC: A.W. TOZER: THE SHORTEST AND SUREST ROUTE!

Verse 4 of today’s scripture says, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God.” Notice that this was the answer that Jesus Christ gave to the devil when He was tempted to turn stones into bread. If you are faced with temptations as 2022 ends, remember that Jesus TOO WAS TEMPTED.

Do you know that Jesus experienced every kind of temptation imaginable, and: there is no kind of temptation that you are faced with today that Jesus did not face and overcome? The key to His victory over temptation is in Verse 4 of today’s scripture: THE WORD OF GOD.

When you set yourself to live by the Word of God, you set yourself to live in victory over every temptation and trial from the pit of hell. One day, while thinking on this scripture, the Holy Ghost asked me this question: “Is it possible to live by something you don’t know?” It’s not possible! Ah! The days are evil! If you don’t know the Word of God, you cannot live by it. If you don’t know the Word of God, you cannot use it to overcome the devil. No wonder the Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).

Hear A.W. Tozer, God’s great General: “The Word of God well understood and religiously obeyed is the shortest route to spiritual perfection.” The Word is not just the SHORTEST route to spiritual perfection, IT IS THE SUREST PATH TO VICTORY, TO GLORY AND TO HONOUR. FILL YOUR HEART WITH IT AND IT WILL CROWN YOU WITH GLORY AND HONOUR. In the end-of-year hustle/bustle, get connected with that Word daily and your victory will be secured. 4. Pray in Tongues now! Lord, I receive fresh strength to triumph over temptations today. I shall not fail You. I reject DEPRESSION! Uphold me by Your mighty power.
5. Pray seriously for yourself in tongues again and edify yourself today!
