Martin Luther was considered as the forerunner of the Reformation! The Reformation was a religious reform movement that swept through Europe in the 1500s. It resulted in the creation of a branch of Christianity called “Protestantism,” a name used collectively to refer to the many religious groups that separated from the Roman Catholic Church due to differences in doctrine.
Luther sparked the Reformation in 1517 by posting his “95 Theses” on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany – these theses were a list of statements that expressed Luther’s concerns about certain practices of the Catholic church then. The pressure on him and threats to his life became too hard and at home, Martin Luther was discouraged and was about to give up.His wife noticed that and didn’t scold him, criticize him or did anything.
Instead she went to wear black clothes and entered the room where Martin Luther was discouraged and distressed. When he saw her wearing black, he asked her who had died and she said “God.” Immediately, he rose up and told her not to say that again because “God Is Not Dead.” She then said to him, “What are you doing there?” and that brought revival to him and then he woke up and said, “My God Is Not Dead and if there are demons and devils on the way, I will stand for God.” Oh! That was DETERMINATION FIRE! As 2022 ends, never allow depression or despair to win! Never allow that DELAY to win because YOUR GOD IS NOT DEAD! You will be celebrated big time!
