Geographers say that the mighty oceans separate continents. From creation, the oceans have been raging in great waves. Although man with his technology flies over the oceans and builds ocean liners to go from one continent to the other, and divers go into the depths of the sea, yet man has not been able to tame the relentless force of the waves of the seas.
However, there is good news: The sea trembles at God’s presence (Psalm 46:2-3 and 144: 7). Bible scholars say the sea is a type of the world, while its raging waves represent the problems that we face in the world. Though man does not have the solution to all of life’s problems with his latest technology, there is ONE in whose presence all life’s problems bow and succumb. And that is God. At the mention of the name of His Son Jesus, all knees must bow and every tongue must confess His Lordship.
Whatever is a threat to your life, which looks like it is beyond man’s power, will come crumbling as you LOOK TO JEHOVAH; THE GOD THAT CANNOT LIE! At His voice, “the raging of the sea ceased and there was a great calm” (Luke 8:24). Remember, only one word from God can change your life forever. Keep hope alive! The raging sea will soon cease at His Word. Get His Word and the present storms in your life shall hear these three-letter words: Peace, be still! I see you laughing as you hold on and hold out in faith on this God!
