In my first visit to New York city, what shocked me the most was “`the number of HOMELESS CITIZENS AND BEGGARS! They were sleeping on the cold streets and begging for money/food. The United States of America is the world’s greatest economic power and so on a lighter note, I quickly asked my wife if we were truly in the great USA or the plane mistakenly took us to an African country!
In fact, I walked into shops and saw white people begging me, a black man, for money to survive! The first day it happened, I quickly looked at my skin to see if I was still black (Please pardon my humour)! People believe that Africa, Asia or Latin American countries are the homes of poverty. This is a lie from hell! Refuse it! I also saw a particular woman in Florida who was critically ill, but could not afford to go to the hospital because she could not afford the bills and she was not under any medical cover.
Truly, I have not seen that kind of poverty even in Africa, yet, most people believe their salvation and prosperity lies in America or going “abroad.” Ah, listen: The day you take your eyes from the God of all flesh JEHOVAH, is the day your sinking begins! Ask Peter in Matthew 14: 29-30! Poverty is not a respecter of any continent or colour. You can be in Africa and be more successful than those rushing ‘abroad.’ Before I visited America, God warned me not to go to America till He had done certain things in my life/ministry, lest anybody boasts that they made me who I am. Remember that God turned the dry land which Lot ran away from, into a tourist attraction. Millions are still visiting the land of Abraham yearly! The covenant of prosperity is provoked from above and not ‘abroad.’
As long as it is the same Bible the Americans use, the same God of the Bible can lift you in any continent. The power to get wealth is in God and Acts 10:34-35 screams that, “God is not a respecter of persons (Europeans, Americans, etc), but in every nation (e.g. Cameroun, Syria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Benin, Mexico, Nigeria, etc), he that feareth Him and worketh righteousness is accepted by Him.” Note: God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply! 1. Thank God and pray about the Word as led now. 2. Declare that you will not dwell in poverty. Lift your hands and declare many times that, “My hands are blessed. I shall not borrow nor end in shame.” Lay your hands on Deut. 8:18 and call forth your wealth. Loose the covenant of wealth! Call now upon the Lord to make you a financial pillar in His house this year! 3. Thank God for the country where you were born. Loose provision this year! Pray about today!
